our mission
Our mission is accomplished by equipping students with the social and emotional skills to be successful in a trauma-informed, nurturing environment. Academic instructors are supported by on-sight clinicians who work closely with each student at achieving educational goals with an individualized approach. Staff support students with techniques that consider each child’s neurodevelopment and attachment styles. In addition to academic support, at-risk students learn to identify and manage trauma triggers, increase resiliency, and establish lifelong habits to help them realize their personal definitions of success.

A safe haven for my daughter to grow!
Shade Tree Academy provided a safe place for my daughter to learn and be herself. The trauma informed teachers and staff made it possible for her to learn coping skills, build self-confidence, and all at her own pace. Academically they worked with her where she was at, and allowed her to move at her own pace, which instilled self-confidence, and allowed her to thrive. In addition to academics and socialization, there was on-site equine assisted therapy once a week that helped her tremendously.

Shade Tree Academy has given my sons a safe place to learn. A place that allows them to heal and learn during a most challenging time in their lives while allowing them their dignity and individuality. The administration, teachers, therapists and staff are par none when it comes to safeguarding children of trauma.

A blessing to our family!
Shade Tree Academy was a huge blessing to our family. My son was in and out of inpatient services when we were introduced to it. It was a safe place to slowly and eventually get back to a public school setting.
Therapy, time and space to regulate, volunteering, and being taught at his level by loving and caring teachers was just what he needed. Anika is full of knowledge, wonderful to work with and I'm thankful for our experience with Shade Tree.

A game-changer for our family
Shade Tree Academy returned the time I needed to enjoy raising my son. We replaced fighting with school administrators, struggling over homework, and meeting about recent behavior with fishing, cooking, and quality time. Shade Tree Academy is simply extraordinary
Shade Tree Academy is an amazing school with amazing teachers and therapists. My girls age 6 and 5 have been so blessed to be at this school. I love all that they offer. They have daily therapist sessions, one in one time as they focus on education. They do yoga, meditation, and rebounding on a mini trampoline. They are very aware of the needs of children and particularly children with trauma. I have been so impressed with all they do to help my girls learn to handle their emotions, and communicate what they are feeling. This school is lead by very educated and in tune individuals who want and seek for the best for our children. I couldn’t find a better option anywhere. Can’t wait for the new school to open. What a blessing it will be to many children. Thanks for all you offer!
