Angela, Susan and Anika believe that every child deserves a safe and supportive family, and that every family needs a strong and caring community. Whether they help others navigate life’s challenges, serve as role models, or advocate for much-needed system changes, these honorees are making our community a more supportive and hopeful place for children and families.
These awards are a recognition of our founders giving the best they have to give — their best efforts, their best thinking, their best solutions, and their best understanding to bring about change in their own community and in the lives of children and families that have been impacted by foster care. They inspire all of us to work together to create hope and ensure every child and their family have what they need in their lives to reach their fullest potential.
For children, youth and families touched by foster care, ASA Now created a “one-stop” healing space where within its walls immediate needs are met and tutoring for children who have fallen behind educationally are rendered. Extra curricular activities are provided to foster creativity and confidence . Birthdays and graduations are celebrated. Life skills and mentors are provided for youth transitioning to adulthood.
We wrap our arms around caregivers by providing advocacy, workshops, support groups, trainings, food assistance, retreats, family and holiday events.
